To say the last two months have been a whirlwind would be an understatement. Packing and moving over a thousand miles is no small feat, so I am very thankful to have that part behind us. We have been in Portland or a little over four weeks now. Everything is unpacked and put in it's right place and we are slowly getting used to where things are. In the middle of unpacking I have been trying to get out and explore different places. The wetlands are only a few miles from the house so I went out one morning a couple of weeks ago to see what they are like. I don't know that I will ever get used to seeing environments like this a mile from the freeway and suburbia. I need to go back in the next few days because everything has started blooming recently. I've never really experienced spring and it's amazing how fast things grow!
